Linden Choir Shines at Luton Music Service Singing Spectacular

At The Linden Academy, a proud good Luton school rooted in the heart of the local community, we are passionate about giving our pupils opportunities to shine beyond the classroom. On Friday 13th June, a group of our dedicated choir singers, under the expert guidance of Mrs Bascombe, took part in a truly special event, the Luton Music Service Singing Spectacular at Stopsley Baptist Church.

Our pupils joined voices with peers from nine other Luton schools, forming a remarkable 300-strong choir. Together, they created a powerful and moving performance that celebrated not only musical talent but also unity, teamwork, and the joy of shared achievement. As one of the best schools in Luton, we are proud to collaborate with other schools in meaningful events that uplift and inspire.

In the lead-up to the event, our pupils committed themselves fully to rehearsals, demonstrating both enthusiasm and discipline. They even performed to the rest of the school as part of their preparation, receiving well-deserved praise for their beautiful singing and growing confidence.

On the day, the combined choir spent the afternoon rehearsing together, building excitement and anticipation for the evening performance. The final concert was attended by parents, carers, relatives, and members of the wider local community, all of whom were treated to a wonderful showcase of young talent. The event highlighted how music can bring people together and strengthen the sense of community we value so highly at The Linden Academy.
