Religious Education

At The Linden Academy, Religious Education is an important part of the curriculum. We teach our children all the fundamentals of many religions including: Christianity, Islam Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism, Buddhism and Humanism. Alongside the teaching of the main religions, we also teach lessons of multi-faith, which allows children to share, compare and comprehend the freedoms that religions have, and gain knowledge and an awareness of others’ beliefs.

Although we teach an enriching religious curriculum, parents have the right to withdraw the child from RE. If you wish your child to be withdrawn from any religious lesson, a formal request in writing should be made, and a meeting will be arranged with a member of our Senior Leadership Team.
